Southeast Asia Electronics Manufacturing Client

Client Background:  a leading electronics housing manufacturer in Penang, Malaysia, established in 2005. Focusing on consumer and automotive electronics enclosures, the company has an annual capacity of 10 million units. Amid global supply chain disruptions and upgraded environmental regulations, their products needed to maintain aesthetics while meeting international export standards.

Cooperation Content: The key pain point was that traditional flame retardants reduced transparency in PC/ABS materials and failed to meet halogen-free RoHS and REACH requirements. We recommended the new polymeric phosphate flame retardant (RDP) and sent technical experts for a two-week on-site training and optimization. This product uses high-molecular polymerization technology to ensure no impact on optical properties (transmittance >90%) while enhancing heat resistance and mechanical strength. We also provided compatibility test reports to help adjust injection molding parameters.  Results: Post-implementation, the flame retardancy reached UL94 V-0 level and passed stringent JIS testing in Japan. The material’s appearance remained pristine, avoiding previous hazing issues, enabling successful exports to Japan with a 30% increase in annual volume. The client noted a 5% reduction in scrap rates, securing long-term contracts with major clients like Sony, and growing cooperation value from $500,000 initially to over $2 million annually.
